Stayed here my wedding night this past April 2023. It was so disappointing. People, I waited 41 years of my life for marriage and my wedding night was in a dump. LOL. There were stains on the ceiling. The mattress was awful and we kept rolling into each other the whole night. This place needs a major renovation and so not worth the money right now. You are better off at the Marriott.
Absolute trash of an experience.
Stayed at hotel43 about a month ago with a friend, the whole lobby and common area was under construction, dirty & dusty halls / elevator, the check in was in a hotel room, and the construction started at 8am (with a couple loud drop offs at 5am). If you love a drill as an alarm clock, go for it.
We left a night early from our two night stay, and the reception agreed to a full refund. They said they needed to confirm with management, and I have yet to hear back after many calls or emails.
Disappointing introduction to Boise.
The room itself was fine.
Now I remember why we stopped staying at this hotel years ago. Really great location and Chandlers is downstairs. Those two things I’m rating high.
The room is so dirty. Bathroom is incredibly small. When you go in or out of the restroom, opening or closing the door you touch the shower and the toilet. Just gross! The bed…. It. Has. A. Rubber. Mattress.. Cover!!! Rubber! Every time you turn over you can hear it crumpling. I’d expect this from a lower brand hotel. We chose to stay here because we haven’t in a long time and we thought we would give it another shot since it was only one night.
Good luck on the remodel. Hoping things will improve! Sorry to say we won’t be back.
The hotel lobby is 4 floors tall (out of 6 floors) and is currently under construction. They are using a hotel room on the second floor as the lobby. We found out after arriving and had already pre-paid. The construction is supposed to be happening for months and then they’re moving to the different floors. If we had known, we would have booked down the street for around the same price point. They might want to consider offering deeply discounted rooms during their construction process. It does feel more like a motel than a hotel. In addition, we wanted to use the gym and were informed it’s closed during construction, so basically, there are no amenities within the motel itself. Buyer beware.
We requested a handicap room and did not receive one. More importantly, we were not advised that a major renovation was in progress when we booked our rooms. We were told the day before. The hotel was a mess even the lobby was closed and we we had to go to a room on the second floor to check-in. Worst of all the fire alarm went off at midnight (false alarm) and we had to vacate the building for 30 minutes. Upon checkout the next AM nothing was said about the alarm and we were even charged for a stale muffin.
They should have closed the hotel during renovation.
It is hard to give this place a fair rating given the fact that they are renovating the lobby and entrance. The rooms were nice but outdated. According to staff, the rooms will be renovated after the lobby reno. We are looking forward to going once the renovation is complete.
The location is convenient to downtown with easy walking access to many areas. We went to the Styx concert and it was about a 18 min walk from the hotel to the Morrison Center.
Great hotel. Will be even better when construction is complete. The location is convenient, the staff is super friendly and helpful and best of all, the beds are comfortable. Great shower too. Having Chandlers restaurant right there is also a plus. I will definitely return when back in Boise.
Good place to stay downtown Boise! Within walking distance of a lot of things. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are mostly clean, but my OCD went crazy with the dust in the corners of the floor. The artwork on the walls was fun to look at, very unique and good to see they support their youth at the Highschool and post their pictures.
